HERVÉ VAN DER STRAETEN, designer et créateur de mobilier, luminaire, miroirs en bronze et ébénisterie en série limitée

The Hervé Van der Straeten cabinetmaking workshops bring together a team of highly qualified craftsmen, all working to the highest level of excellence and shaping the material in a constantly demanding manner.

The mastery of skills such as patina, chasing, bronze mounting, lacquering, marquetry and parchment sheathing, combined with innovation give life to audacious concepts that take shape in rare and exceptional pieces.

Hervé Van der Straeten favours the use of noble or industrial materials such as rare woods, bronze, marble, lacquer, parchment, crystal, straw marquetry, but also anodised aluminium, polished steel and industrial iridescence. Noble or industrial, all materials are used with the same elaborate and delicate sophistication.

The conception of each piece, designed to last in time, has been structured in order to be removable for restoration.

The Hervé Van der Straeten workshop has been recognised as an "Entreprise du Patrimoine vivant" since 2007, a French label that acknowledges and salutes its expertise. Several emblematic pieces of the designer's work have already been acquired by the “Mobilier National”, and some are present at the Elysée Palace.
